An Introduction to the Traditional Rummy Card Game

Traditional Rummy is one of the easiest variations of the classic card game to learn and to play. The goal of the game is to be the first player to discard all of the cards in the hand, and this can be done in several ways:

• Going Rummy - when a player is able to dispose of all cards at a single time.
• Going Out - when a player gradually disposes of their cards through melds.

Traditional Rummy provides all players with the widest range of opportunities for getting rid of their cards due to the fact that they can lay down melds and add to existing ones at any point during a game.
